Fans may have already jumped the gun, photoshopping the Vancouver Island native into the Hawks famous threads. But after many seasons of success and perhaps what one would call a dynasty in the 2010's it's a bitter pill to swallow - the thought of a rebuild or retool. But with Keith, Crawford, Hjalmarsson, Hossa and Seabrook among others, already gone out the door, a change of tide is imminent and the likes of a superstar such as Bedard calling Chicago his home team after the 2023 NHL Draft, could certainly ease the pain of a potential rebuild/retool.
The 2021-22 season was Bedard's second WHL season and the junior hockey star eclipsed 100 points even, scoring 51 goals and 49 assists through 62 games. While donning on the assistant captain A's on his jersey.
Fast forward to the current season and Bedard has been unstoppable. Through 28 games, Bedard has scored 27 goals, 37 assists for 64 points. If his production continues, he is set to shatter his previous best of 100 points - with a projected 62 goals and 85 assists for 146 points.
