Blackhawks' prospect, Landon Slaggert, has a burning desire to play professional hockey, but he has decided to delay this dream for the time being. As confirmed by Slaggert himself to The Athletic, he has opted to return to Notre Dame for his senior year instead of signing an NHL contract for the upcoming season.

For some NHL prospects, making the decision to turn pro or return to school for one final season can be a difficult one, but for Slaggert, the choice was clear. He has made the decision to return to South Bend, Indiana, for a final season at Notre Dame. One of the reasons for his decision was to play alongside his younger brother, Carter Slaggert, who will be starting his freshman year at Notre Dame.

Additionally, his father, Andy, is an associate head coach at the university, making the decision even more meaningful for the Slaggert family.
