Brent Seabrook was quite the Blackhawk. Seabrook skated in 1,114 games for Chicago and scored 464 points, most of them coming in key moments when the outcome of the game was still in question. Mr. Overtime won three Stanley Cups in Chicago and was a cornerstone of the Blackhawks core in the dynasty era.
Seabrook is a volunteer player development coach for the Vancouver Giants. He makes the 4 hour drive from Kelowna to Vancouver every couple of weeks to work with the Giants defensemen as well as with head coach Michael Dyck. Seabrook helps coach Dyck to develop practice plans and help on the powerplay.
Seabrook also revealed that he still is in communication with the Blackhawks front office and his old teammates. While he is unable to ever play competitively again in the NHL, the future is bright for Seabrook. Who knows. Maybe one day he'll be behind the bench in Chicago.
