Blackhawks Lose Another Forward: Officially Leaves Chicago & Signs Elsewhere..
The Chicago Blackhawks let a long list of forwards walk this off season, some not making much sense including 25 year old Dylan Strome, the others Dominik Kubalik Henrik Borgstrom, Erik Gustafsson, Kevin Lankinen and Calvin De Haan. Dylan Strome and Kevin Lankinen did not last long on the open market, Strome was signed by the Washington Capitals and Lankinen quickly agreed to terms with the Nashville Predators.
Former 23rd overall pick in the 2016 season by the Florida Panthers Henrik Borgstrom, the 24 year olds rights were traded to Chicago and he has yet to play a full NHL season but the Blackhawks have given up hope and he has signed in Washington with his former teammate Dylan Strome. It is in question as to what general manager Kyle Davidsons thoughts on a rebuild are? As 24 year old Alex DeBrincat did not fit his rebuild standards, 25 year old Dylan Strome did not as well and now 24 year old Henrik Borgstrom?
Happily the two buddies Strome and Borgstrom are now on the same roster, there shared many good moments on and off the ice in Chicago.
