Seven months ago we sadly reported that Patrick Kane and his agent would possibly explore the NHL trade market around January or February of 2023. A lot of people doubted the reports, but sadly they are finally true and can no longer be discredited as Kane has officially been traded away from the Chicago Blackhawks.
Chicago Blackhawks fans may be disappointed with this one, here is the full trade breakdown:
Huge condition on the trade, good for Chicago:
Blackhawks fans have to feel somewhat happy for Patrick Kane despite these emotional times, Kane is being re-united with his best friend today, Artemi Panarin of the New York Rangers. Panarin is much like many of Kane's good friends in Chicago, they were mistreated and traded away.
The Rangers have also acquired Vladimir Tarasenko, the St.Louis Blues' star player, just one week ago, they are truly going all in. We hope Kane can find happiness in New York, it'll truly be different seeing him in a new jersey.
Kane has spent 16 years with the Chicago Blackhawks organization tallying up 1,161 games played, accumulating 446 goals and 779 assists throughout that time. 1,225 points in 1,100 games is truly impressive...
Best wishes Kaner...
