BREAKING: Kyle Dubas, Former Leafs General Manager Has Found His New Home
The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly reached a deal with Kyle Dubas, as confirmed by reports from Pittsburgh sources.
While an official announcement is yet to be made, Mark Madden of 105.9 in Pittsburgh states that the confirmation will come shortly.
It remains unclear whether Dubas will assume the role of General Manager or President of Hockey Operations for the Penguins.
Previously, Ron Hextall and Brian Burke held these positions. Speculation arises due to rumors suggesting that Dubas desired more autonomy from Brendan Shanahan, the President of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Despite Dubas expressing his commitment to Toronto for the upcoming season, opportunities have a way of changing minds. His departure from the Maple Leafs after their second-round playoff exit opens the door to new possibilities.
The hockey world eagerly awaits the official announcement and further details regarding Dubas's role with the Penguins, as this signing could have significant implications for the team's future.
