The Chicago Blackhawks are left with three options with their third 3rd overall pick
According to a new report, the Chicago Blackhawks' list of potential candidates for their third overall draft pick has been narrowed down to three.
Indeed, the draft lottery determined that the Blackhawks hold the third overall pick.
They have many interesting options to consider.
While trading it for a more experienced player could make sense for the team considering the state of the rebuild, it would be surprising to see Davidson part ways with the third overall pick considering all the talented players that will be available.
Three of them stand out from the others.
Three options for the Chicago Blackhawks' third overall pick
The centerman is among the most interesting players available in this year's draft. This season, he scored 37 points in 37 games with Boston College as a freshman.
Despite his smaller size, he has a big offensive upside that could convince the Hawks to add him to their prospect pool.
This season, the winger scored 98 points in 57 games for the Brampton Steelheads, showing a lot of skill, hockey IQ, and an ability to be a difference-maker.
He would certainly fit well on a line with Bedard. His physical presence could help Bedard get the time and space required to make plays.
Frondell is a two-way center from Sweden with great goal-scoring capabilities, but playmaking skills as well.
Adding a player like him as a second-line center could bring valuable depth to the Blackhawks. However, at this point, the Hawks could use reinforcements in most areas of their lineup.
But there's no doubt a player like him will help a team win for a long time.
Stay tuned for updates related to the Chicago Blackhawks and the NHL Draft.
