An analyst unveiled details of a blockbuster trade that could go down between the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks this summer.

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to pursue top players on the trade market or free agency in order to help the young core get to the next step of its development.
A new report suggested that Kyle Davidson could call up his New York Rangers counterpart, Chris Drury, to work on a deal involving a top-line forward.
Indeed, according to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, the Blackhawks could be interested in bringing back their former player Artemi Panarin in Chicago.
The Hawks need offensive reinforcements, and Panarin could bring some welcome firepower on the top six.
In Pagnotta's words:
"Panarin's NHL career started in Chicago with the Blackhawks, and while that happened toward the end of their dynastic run, wouldn't it be fun to see him rejoin Chicago as it gears up to try to return with Connor Bedard?

Chicago tried to speed up the process to get back to the playoffs last summer by surrounding Bedard and other young prospects with veteran players, and out of all of them, only Ryan Donato seemed to really work out well. He wound up being their only 30-goal scorer, while three other Chicago players had 20 or more. In short, they need offense badly and Panarin would help address that."

Last season, Panarin managed to score 89 points, including 37 goals, in 80 games with the Rangers.
It wouldn't be cheap for the Hawks, but the Rangers could be interested in adding a young player that could help the team in the future, or even a veteran defenseman such as Connor Murphy, included in many trade rumors over the past years.
Panarin spent the first two seasons of his career in Chicago, where he scored 151 points in 162 games, leaving a strong impression on Blackhawks fans before being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in one of the worst deals in franchise history.
