The Chicago Blackhawks could shock everyone with this choice of selection at 3rd overall

The Chicago Blackhawks have a plethora of talent available at #3 in the NHL Draft, but Kyle Davidson could shock us all by selecting QMJHL forward Caleb Desnoyers.
The Chicago Blackhawks have quite a task ahead of them, as the 2025 NHL Draft inches closer and closer.
«I think our [rankings] versus any other team's is going to be different, and [they're] going to be different from public [rankings],» Hawks general manager Kyle Davidson said after the draft lottery.
The forward group available in this selection is quite well-rounded. Anton Frondell, James Hagens, Michael Misa, and Caleb Desnoyers are some of the names thrown around lately.
While some fans believe the team could take Porter Martone, a two-way forward whose game has some bite, they could look elsewhere.
To the QMJHL, where the last time a forward from the Q was drafted in the top ten was the Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere.

Desnoyers' QMJHL season is done. He and his Moncton Wildcats team are on their way to compete for the Memorial Cup this year.
What separates Desnoyers from the rest of the bunch is how defensively sound he is compared to Misa.
Per Chris Peters:
«[Desnoyers] might not be the sexiest pick because he doesn't have the point total that Misa does, but he's producing,» Peters said. «He's highly skilled [with a] huge motor. He's a really good two-way center, he's physical, and he also has the ability to score.»
Desnoyers is ridiculously good with the puck, as you can see him cut through defenders like a hot butter knife.
This season, he's scored 84 points in 56 games with the Wildcats, and his work ethic and reliable play could put him on Kyle Davidson's radar.
