Former Chicago Blackhawks Forward Claimed Off Waivers By Minnesota Wild

The Nashville Predators completed a move on Tuesday, sending forward Vinnie Hinostroza on waivers with a simple hope that he would clear and be assigned to their AHL team, the Milwaukee Admirals. Wednesday, their plan ultimately failed as the former Chicago Blackhawks forward has been claimed.
Amidst a 10-game suspension handed to Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman, the Wild were in desperate need of a veteran who could fill Hartman's void during his absence.
Oddly enough, Hartman and Hinostroza are good friends and were teammates in Chicago with the Blackhawks back in the day.
30-year old forward, Hinostroza, kicked off his season in the AHL with the Admirals, being a top-point producer amongst forward throughout the American Hockey League.
Playing 11 games straight for the Predators before being placed on waivers Tuesday, Hinostroza still holds the highest points per game average throughout players in the AHL.
Hinostroza misses out on All-Star Game due to roster move by Preds
Sadly for Hinostroza, he was pulled from the 2025 All-Star AHL Classic this week, due to his call up by the Predators, forward Joakim Kemell was called up to replace him.
The Minnesota Wild has claimed forward Vinnie Hinostroza off waivers from the Nashville Predators and placed forward Jakub Lauko (lower-body) on Injured Reserve.
He was originally selected by the Blackhawks 169th overall (sixth round) in the 2012 NHL draft, and has played a total of 387 career games spread across franchises such as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres, and now, the Minnesota Wild.
