NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman reported today that David Carle has withdrawn interest in pursuing the Head Coaching position with the Chicago Blackhawks, troubling news for Kyle Davidson.}
David Carle is a highly-sought after coaching candidate for NHL teams who view his success in the IIHF World Junior Championships, and NCAA as highly desirable experience.
According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, the Blackhawks' aggressive pursuit of the winning coach has come to an end.
The reason for Carle's withdrawal haven't been released yet, but this could be viewed as a potential setback for the Blackhawks if they cannot find a good replacement for Interim Coach
Anders Sorensen.
The way the NHL media was discussing the matter, he could write his own paycheck given his record with Denver and Team USA.
««He's proven what he can do development-wise, and they want him to help the blue chippers they have and have coming.»
»
This could mean he's found a better offer for his services in the NHL elsewhere. But for now, the connection to multiple Blackhawks players he has wasn't enough to draw him to Chicago.
Carle has a record of 179-74-17 with Denver University and has won multiple NCAA championships with the team.
He's also won back-to-back gold medals with Team USA as bench boss.
Whatever GM
Kyle Davidson attempted to sell him on, didn't seem to work, as the team will have to go back to the drawing board in order to lure the next best coach to Chicago.
