The Chicago Blackhawks under interim coach Anders Sorensen have been quite wonky, and his lack of NHL experience shows.
Due to his coaching efforts, Sorensen has been added as a coach for Team Sweden at the upcoming IIHF World Hockey Championship in Stockholm, Sweden. This is an opportunity that is deserved and great for him to be able to be a part of a coaching staff in a tournament in his home country.

A recent statement by general manager Kyle Davidson confirmed that Sorensen will be out the door this summer as they are set to hire a new head coach for their new era of hockey incoming next season.
Sorensen's hiring to Team Sweden comes after he was the first Swedish-born head coach to land an NHL job in league history.
Sam Hallam announced the hiring of Sorensen today.
- I am very pleased to welcome Anders Sörensen as part of the World Cup staff. He comes with valuable experience from the NHL and becomes an important addition for us. We are extremely charged with the task of getting the player group together and investing in winning the World Cup gold, says Sam Hallam, the union captain Tre Kronor.

Sorensen will now be facing off against Blackhawks players while repesenting Sweden at the World Championships.
Alex Vlasic, Lukas Reichel are already confirmed players representing their country, and Connor Bedard is expected to be named next.
