Chicago Blackhawks goaltender set to give Spencer Knight a run for his money

GM Kyle Davidson has an ace in the hole, in Rockford, as goalie Drew Commesso could very well steal starting goalie Spencer Knight's job with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The
Chicago Blackhawks have a good problem. Their goalie pipeline is deep, as they have three goalies in the system, which could provide reliable goaltending.
Two of those players are now in the NHL, and they are Spencer Knight and
Arvid Soderblom. A sign that the youth movement is in full swing this year.
But one of their outliers is
Rockford IceHogs' goalie,
Drew Commesso. The IceHogs have played themselves into the postseason, unlike their NHL counterparts.
Commesso has had a successful year, with a record of 18-15-4, 2.54 GAA, and a .911 save percentage.
These years' Calder Cup playoffs have shown he hasn't turned it off yet either.
He's gone 4-0-0 with the IceHogs, and has a .96 GAA, and a .969 save percentage.
Now, it appears that after this season's playoffs, the Blackhawks could consider giving him a serious look in the lineup during the 2025-2026 season.
He definitely deserves it, given his performance lately.
Commesso is in year two of a three-year deal paying him an AAV of $925K that expires at the end of the 2025-2026 season.
Could he take Spencer Knight's job in the NHL, given the way he's been playing?
Drew Commesso started his professional hockey career with the Rockford IceHogs on October 13th, 2023, making 34 saves on 36 shots against the
San Jose Barracuda.
