Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard joins new league with sought after free agent

Connor Bedard and free agent Ryan Donato were seen together in the ASHL, quite a different setting than the Blackhawks organization we're used to.
The two players were on the ice, with an ominous logo cast in the background. The "ASHL", which stands for the Adult Safe Hockey League.
Bedard was wearing his Blackhawks practice jersey, while Donato opted just for a plain white jersey for the impromptu photos.
These don't look professional in any circumstance, but it looks like a fan in the bleachers took them.
Here's what the league is about, according to the ASHL website.
Whether you're a 26-year-old beginner or a 42-year-old former pro, we all play here.
We've been doing this rec hockey thing for more than 23 years and we'd like to think we're getting kind of good at it.
No matter your age or skill level, we want to be the league for you.
If we've got your attention, keep scrolling. If not, we're working on getting a better copy writer.
The league itself consists of 65K players in Canada, spread across 14 locations. It looks like Bedard and his former linemate, Donato, were eager to get some practice in during the offseason and found this league a new spot.
It is an all-inclusive league that welcomes players of different levels of experience.
Bedard might just make this rec league look like child's play when he seriously gets into it.
This season, Connor Bedard followed his rookie season in the NHL with 67 points in 82 games. Only a year removed from winning the rookie MVP in 2023-2024.
Our next question is, will Ryan Donato be signed by the Blackhawks, or will he test free agency after his 30+ goal year?
