Chicago Blackhawks Danny Wirtz's attempt pacify fans with a membership has just been made
The Chicago Blackhawks have finally made progress with regard to the status of the CHSN.
The CHSN instead of being carried by Comcast, will operate on a direct-to-consumer model for fans.
The app will be available Friday, according to Bleacher Nation, and Danny Wirtz is doing his best to make up for the inconvenience of fans. He sent an email to Blackhawks season-ticket-holders to explain the next steps.
Season ticket members are the heart and soul of this franchise, and your passion for Blackhawks hockey drives everything we do. I'm reaching out today to acknowledge how frustrating and confusing our recent television broadcast situation has been for many of you.
We want everyone, anywhere, however they choose, to be able to watch Blackhawks hockey. That goal remains the same, and the Chicago Sports Network's highest priority right now is to get distribution deals done with as many carriers as possible.
I want to let you know first that CHSN will be launching its direct-to-consumer streaming platform on Friday, making our games available to subscribers in Chicagoland via web browsers and mobile apps (iOS and Android). Adding a direct-to-consumer option is another step in making it easy for you and your family to watch our games.
As a gesture of our sincere appreciation for your patience and loyalty during this challenging period, the Chicago Blackhawks will be providing you, as a full season ticket member, with a complimentary CHSN subscription for Blackhawks games through the end of the 2024-25 regular season. You will receive instructions for how to activate that account when the service goes live on Friday.
We are so excited for you to see our new television broadcast team - Rick Ball, Darren Pang and others - in action, who have been working tirelessly to deliver the high-caliber coverage you deserve.

You'll have to figure out an alternative method to watch the game Thursday against the Seattle Kraken, but the most awe-inspiring statistic here is the fact that the Blackhawks fans have watched, or more accurately haven't watched 21 percent of the 82 regular season games so far(17 games to be exact.)
