Chicago Blackhawks complete three year contract signing of star forward
Marek Vanacker, the Blackhawks last first round pick at #27 in this year's NHL Draft, has signed his entry level contract.
His contract is three years long and has an AAV worth of $975,000, the maximum amount of money you could get in this case.
The Blackhakws announced it on their X page this morning.
Vanacker is 18 years old. His shot was the main point of interest coming into this year's draft. It's so good for his age.
The one glaring weakness he has, however, is his skating. His height is something Chicago needed on the forward core, with Vanacker standing at 6'1.
Marek had 36 goals and 46 assists, tallying up to 82 points in 68 games in the OHL last season with the Brantford Bulldogs.
