But one member of the Chicago Blackhawks, who some fans even despise, is not pleased to see Vosters go, and that's Chris Chelios' daughter Caley.
Before Chris Vosters issued a statement and said his own goodbyes to the organization, Caley did:
Chris Vosters is an incredible talent and even better person. I have no doubt he'll have a phenomenal broadcasting career with his skill set and work ethic. I'm proud to have called games with him over the last couple seasons and grateful for all the work he did with the Hawks.
Said Caley Chelios, following the firing of Chris Vosters.
Fans even took the time to fire shots at Caley, stating she should be let go as well:
It appears that Caley could be canned in no time, with the Blackhawks stating studio hirings are now underway followin the firing of Vosters:
«Now that we have the booth set, our attention is going to be directed to the studio,» Faulkner said. «(In making those hires), hockey knowledge, some connection to the Blackhawks is important to us, energy is important. We are working on the criteria that is important to us because we will have the ability to decide who is in studio. Thankfully, we did have a lot of studio talent both in the host position and otherwise that had been very strong for us.»
