Two-time Stanley Cup Champion Brandon Saad could've signed with the Boston Bruins, but would call them out after signing with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Instead of signing with the Boston Bruins, the former Chicago Blackhawks forward took a shot at the original six-team.
His contract was terminated by the St. Louis Blues, and he would instead sign with the Vegas Golden Knights, as a depth forward.
The former Stanley Cup champion will once again get to contend for a Cup in the Pacific.
Saad could've chosen to sign with the Bruins but instead opted to ink a deal with GM Kelly McCrimmon and the Knights.
The Bruins were one of multiple NHL teams interested in signing the goal-scoring forward.
"The Devils, Senators and Maple Leafs also were among those who went hard for Brandon Saad, as did Tampa Bay. Can't fault Saad for picking Vegas, despite the team's current struggles."

Saad recently joined the Knights and has already posted one point in two games for the organization.
This season, he's played a total of 45 games split between the St. Louis Blues and the Golden Knights scoring 17 points (8 G, 9 A).
The Knights were able to take advantage of his decline in production this season and signed him at a discounted rate of $1.5 million. A far cry from the generous $4.5 million AAV he was making in St. Louis.

Why did Saad sign with the Golden Knights? It's about the culture a team has, and obviously, the Leafs lacked a winning culture.
"I think, for me, just being able to go to a contender and a chance to win another Cup (was exciting)," Saad said. "I've played against Vegas for a lot of years. They have tremendous talent, depth, good coaching, a great city. They kind of got it all. For me, I'm excited to be a part of that culture."
Saad has won a Stanley Cup twice and can tell when an organization is being run by the right people.

Now, he can chase a cup in the desert.
