Blackhawks organization announces a signing of a forward
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced a signing today, as they have signed Brandon Saigeon to a standard contract for the 2024-2025 season.
Saigeon will be joining the Fuel, after playing last season in the ECHL with the Witchita Thunder, where he played 11 games there after being traded from the Kalamazoo Wings.
In 87 games with the Wings, he tallied 43 points. The 6'1" center in 2021-2022 played 49 games with the Wheeling Nailers scoring 21 points( 7 G, 14 A), and in 2019 made his debut with the Utah Grizzlies.
The center spent five seasons in the OHL, with the Oshawa Generals and Hamilton Bulldogs. He helped push his team to three trips to the playoffs in five of those seasons.
Including in 2017-2018, scoring 25 points in 21 games, Saigeon would win an OHL championship with the Bulldogs that season.
Saigeon, now 26, was drafted 140th overall in 2018, by the Colorado Avalanche.
