An NHL head coach has been fired and it changes things for the Chicago Blackhawks

The Anaheim Ducks decided to fire coach Greg Cronin after he failed to lead the team to a playoff spot; should the Blackhawks consider hiring him in the Windy City?
The Anaheim Ducks hired Greg Cronin in the summer of 2023 to lead their young and rebuilding club to what they hoped would be a playoff spot.
Instead, he wasn't able to do so in either of his 2 years behind the bench and was terminated by GM Pat Verbeek earlier today.
In his statement shortly after the news was announced, Verbeek explained that he didn't feel the improvement of the club's young players was moving fast enough and that a new voice was needed.
He is responsible in many ways for the improvement we've seen from our young core. However, after several weeks of careful evaluation, I concluded we needed a change in direction and a new voice. This was an extremely difficult decision for me to make, but I felt it was necessary to continue our progress toward becoming a Stanley Cup contender that I know we can be.
Right now, Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson is deciding whether or not interim head coach Anders Sorenson has done enough on his part to earn the right to be called the official full time head coach.
Sorensen had been coaching the American Hockey League's Rockford Ice Hogs when he was elevated to the job following the termination of Luke Richardson by Davidson in early December; he went 17-30-9.
The Ducks could also look to snag the Blackhawks' candidate for their vacant position, David Carle.
Cronin went 62-87-15 in 2 years on the job in Anaheim; he's also twice been an assistant coach for the New York Islanders while also serving as an assistant with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Could he be considered a candidate by Davidson to take over in Chicago?
