Team USA has won the Gold Medal in the IIHF World Championships in 2025, a revelation for Alex Vlasic and Frank Nazar of the Chicago Blackhawks, who come home for the better, with confidence instilled.

The Chicago Blackhawks team is chock-full of talented individuals. A few of them would suit up for Team USA in this year's IIHF World Championships.
Alex Vlasic and Frank Nazar would lend their hand to Team USA's success this postseason and would progress in their development as hockey players.

Nazar's Noise

Frank Nazar is a very bread-and-butter style of player who can make flashy plays and drive offense. With the Blackhawks, he ended the season on a points streak, scoring 9 in his last eight.
He'd play convincing hockey at the World Championships, as we're assured none of this was a fluke. He'd tally 12 points in 10 games, sixth best in the tournament and behind the Bruins' own, David Pastrnak, with 15.
«It felt really good, obviously. There's nothing like scoring a goal and getting that feeling, especially after the NHL season's over, continuing to score and just build that confidence and feel good out there on the ice.»

Nazar's goals during the offseason were to build strength and speed, and it seems like he's reached his goals. Speaking of which, he'd score two goals and an assist during the USA's 6-0 shutout over Hungary.
His play on Team USA shows what we've seen on the Blackhawks already: a Swiss-army knife style of player who can come in clutch and score when the occasion calls for it.

Vlasic's Stillness.

Alex Vlasic isn't typically a loud personality that we've known during his short time as a Blackhawk. He wouldn't surprise us during the IIHF World Championships, staying on task contributing 2 assists, and a +3 in 10 tournament games.
While playing 16 minutes a night for the USA, he's been slotted in on the second or third-pairing depending on the game.
Vlasic continues to emanate the kind of play that benefits the Blackhawks in international play. Shutting down shots, occupying space, and adding in some monstrous hits.
He's been looking forward to this tournament, after last season expressed confidence in the group they had available to them last season:
«We have so many guys up front that can absolutely fly. And we've got some big, mobile defensemen back on the defensive front. So I think we've got a good team composition.»

Nazar and Vlasic come out of this tournament with budding confidence, as they add a gold medal to their names for their hard work with Team USA.
This is a good sign for the Blackhawks next season, right?
