The NHL always says they want to get rid of dangerous hits in the game. While it's tough to eliminate them all, one rule stands out�if you see a player's numbers near the boards, in a vulnerable position, you must avoid the contact.

In a recent game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Chicago Blackhawks last night, something concerning happened which may lead to a suspension for the Blackhawks' young star Kurashev.

About 5 minutes into the 3rd period, Chicago's Philipp Kurashev made a hit from behind on Sabres defenseman Erik Johnson.

Kurashev got a five-minute major boarding penalty and a game misconduct for the play. People are wondering if player safety will contact Kurashev about it.

When a player is far from the boards, it's best to avoid making the check to prevent risky situations.
