Although Kurashev will miss a week of play, he has been skating, which has continued in the meantime.
Sadly, this is his second injury this year, having suffered a shoulder injury in March. Thankfully, no surgery was necessary.
During the rebuild, a player like Kurashev is needed in the top-six, but once they are ready to contend, he may be a middle-six forward.
The presence of veteran forwards acquired in the off-season, such as Taylor Hall, Nick Foligno, and Corey Perry, should benefit Kurashev, hopefully leading to the team's long-term success.
