There's more good news that has surfaced from the Blackhawks organization, as Blackhawks prospect forward Cole Guttman underwent successful right shoulder surgery today and will remain out of the lineup for four months.

The 23-year-old forward was drafted in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round, 180th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He has been a pleasant surprise since he arrived with Chicago where he has played 14 games, has scored four goals with two assists for six points and is a + 1.

Players like Guttman will be vital for the Chicago rebuild plan as they continue to recoup new prospects and draft choices to restock their cupboards.

With an audition like this, there's a great chance that Guttman will be back with the Blackhawks next season and be part of their regular lineup.

He's currently on a 2-year deal and will have one more season with a $950,000 cap hit. The Blackhawks will be on the road to play the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday, March 18th. Game time will begin at 10:30 PM eastern

We would like to wish Cole all the best and a speedy recovery and looking forward to his steady play next season.
