As the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry draft, you have a lot of responsibilities. One of them is being a media darling and being under a microscope 24/7, which has been Connor Bedard's life since the draft.
As a young man in a big new city, playing for an original six NHL team and carrying the weight of the world's expectations, things have not changed since he arrived in Chicago.
Taylor Hall believes the media attention surrounding his teammate Connor Bedard is a little much.
As Taylor Hall explained, that is the reality of Connor Bedard, who is currently dealing with all the media pressure.
Despite not wanting to show it on ice or to the media, Hall says the media pressure is getting to the young rookie.

But what the media and fans need to realize is that Bedard is a rookie, and his NHL career is just beginning. Everyone seems to expect Bedard to become Connor McDavid overnight, so early on in his career, which he doesn't deserve.
In the short term, he will not be the team's superstar right away, but he will give everyone his best effort all the time.
