Report: Blackhawks Head Coach Luke Richardson Reveals Exciting News

BY JARED
It seems that Lukas Reichel may have finally proved himself enough to stay in Chicago after Patrick Kane returns from injury. Reichel has seen many short stints with the Blackhawks over the last two seasons, but his play and confidence with the puck as of late has shown that Reichel has developed in the right direction.

Reichel finally scored his first NHL goal in Sunday's overtime win against Calgary at the United Center. It was also Reichel's first three point game in the NHL as he also logged two assists in Sunday's victory.

Reichel has been dominant in Rockford but hasn't been able to translate it to the NHL level. With his play this past weekend, Reichel has certainly earned a long stint to prove himself. While it is obvious that the Blackhawks will be in the race for Bedard when the season comes to a close, keeping Reichel in the NHL for the remainder of the season is key to further his development so he can be a building block for the next great Hawks team.
