The Ottawa Senators have recently been put up for sale, striking interest of potential buyers from all over the world. We've heard rumors about actor Ryan Reynolds trying to put together an ownership group to purchase the Senators, but potential new buyer has emerged.
According to Bruce Garrioch, two OHL owners have teamed up to place a bid to purchase the Senators. The two owners reported are Michael Andlauer and Rocco Tullio. Andlauer is a Toronto billionaire who currently owns the Hamilton Bulldogs. Tullio owns the Oshawa Generals.
The Senators have loaded up on talent through the draft and free agency and were expected to be in contention for a playoff spot this season, but have under performed out of the gate. They are currently 6-9-1 through 16 games and are 6 points out of a Eastern Conference Wild Card spot. Who would you like to see buy the Senators?
