Patrick Kane on Detroit: Not Happening

The thing is, it doesn't appear to be the case at all, as Kane will likely be healthy during the 2023-2024 season, which means he'll still have plenty of time during the season to assess his situation before making a final decision regarding his
future.

Sorry Redwings fans, this one isn't passing the smell test
In the Cam and Strick Podcast, they believe that the idea that Kane will sign with the Detroit Red Wings is a ridiculous thought and has nothing to do with reality.
Clearly, their opinion isn't entirely wrong, as Kane is trying to win a Stanley Cup and he would like to play on a contender, but at age 34, his chances of winning yet another Stanley Cup are diminishing with every passing season.
Despite the fact that the idea of getting back together with DeBrincat is a great idea, Kane would not be a good fit in Detroit. In addition to the rebuilding situation, he would just not be able to fit into the cap and would be nothing but a non-starter.
Is there any reason why a contender should not be considered instead?
