The Chicago Blackhawks took on the Calgary Flames Thursday night with Jonathan Toews coming as a late scratch due to a non-Covid illness. Rookie Luke Philp stepped into the lineup on short notice and notched his first career point in the NHL.

Philp set up forward Boris Katchouk beautifully for the one-timer goal through a screen. Katchouk was a healthy scratch the last 9 games for Chicago after a rough stretch of play and management wanting to give guys from Rockford a look. This was Katchouk's 2nd goal of the season and it couldn't have come at a better time for him.

The Blackhawks had fun Thursday night in Calgary as they scored 4 unanswered goals to take a 5-1 victory. The next time the Blackhawks will be in action is Saturday night as they visit Edmonton to take on Connor McDavid and the Oilers. Congratulations to Luke Philp!
