In a recent twist in the NHL, the Boston Bruins have shared news that their seasoned center, 35-year-old Milan Lucic, is stepping away from the team indefinitely after an alleged "domestic incident" on Friday night.

According to Duke Castiglione of WCVB in Boston, Lucic found himself in trouble, leading to an arrest late on Friday night.

The Boston Bruins responded promptly with an official statement:

"The Boston Bruins are aware of an incident involving Milan Lucic Friday evening. Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team... The organization takes these matters very seriously and will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they may need. We will have no further comment at this time."

Making a return to the Bruins this season on a one-year, $1.5 million contract after a stint with the Calgary Flames, Lucic holds an impressive record with eight seasons in Boston, notably contributing to the 2011 Stanley Cup-winning team with 30 goals that season and 12 points in 25 playoff games.

This isn't the first time Lucic has been involved in such incidents, as back in 2011, the police visited his home, though no arrest was made.
