NHL ANNOUNCES NEW CHANGES TO STADIUM SERIES GAMES

SEP 21, 2022  (0H05)      JARED
The NHL announced today some interesting changes to its signature Stadium Series games moving forward. Beginning with the Washington Capitals versus the Carolina Hurricanes at Carter-Finley Stadium on February 18th, 2023, fans will be allowed to go on the field and watch the game.

Since the seating on the field will be general admission overflow, the NHL will be allowed to fit more people into the venue. The crowd will be able to watch the game from both endzones in the stadium and will be able to stand around the stage during the live musical performance during intermissions. The crowd will be protected by netting as they are in the arena.

The NHL is seemingly attempting to create an environment you would see at other big sports spectacles, such as the infield of a automotive race track or horse racing track. This a big win for the NHL and I can't wait to see how it plays out.
DO YOU THINK THIS IS A GOOD CHANGE FOR THE NHL TO IMPLEMENT?
