Montreal forward Josh Anderson was back on the ice this morning at training camp. He had been out since last week with an upper-body injury. This morning we learned the mysterious cause of his injury. Captain Nick Suzuki was also back on the ice wearing a non-contact jersey.

Per Stu Cowan, Josh Anderson told the media this morning that he was bitten by a spider last week and that it caused his entire hand to swell. The Montreal forward joked that he wondered if he gained strength from that spider bite.

Josh Anderson, acquired in 2020 for Max Domi and a third-round pick, scored 32 points in 69 games last season. The power forward is a key component of Montreal's core. He should be available again for tomorrow's game against the Ottawa Senators. Let us hope he helps Montreal finally get their first win of the preseason.
