The hockey community has been hit with a lot of saddening losses this year, leaving the community in shock as many great players from the National Hockey League are no longer with us.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a 438-game NHL veteran Steve Jensen, at the age of sixty seven.

Jensen was the definition of a leader, and a true warrior, tallying up 318 penalty minutes throughout his 418 NHL games, Jensen never backed down from a bare knuckled fight. He played with many NHL organizations including the Los Angeles Kings and the Minnesota North Stars, Steve even played on team USA's Olympic team in the 1975-76 season and put up a whopping 96 points in 76 total games played.

Jensen leaves behind his loving family, including his sister Jill Jensen, who shared the heartbreaking news via social media on the late night of Friday, December second.

''Steve Jensen, my brother and Armstrong Alum class of 73' passed away on 11/29/22. Those who knew him know that hockey was his life! So proud of this guy for all that he accomplished over his lifetime and for the many lives that he touched in so many positive ways. He was such a strong, happy person and it's just so hard to believe that he's no longer with us.
I miss you and love you, my brother. RIP.''
