June 23rd will always be a special day for Blackhawks fans and the organization as a whole. Captain Jonathan Toews was drafted by Chicago on June 23, 2006, and the rest is history. As the 3rd overall pick, expectations for Toews were high, but nobody would expect him to have quite the career he has enjoyed.

In his Blackhawks career, Toews has amassed 1,000 games played with 1,014, while tallying 852 regular seasons points (357 goals and 852 assists). Toews has often been referred to as «Captain Clutch» because of his ability to score big goals when the team has needed them the most. Toews has tallied has 119 playoff points in 137 playoff games played and will go down as one of the greatest Blackhawks in team history.
