His mentor, and who he looks up to? Marian Hossa, a Chicago Blackhawk for eight years. He participated in five NHL All-Star Games during his career, playing for three different teams in successive Stanley Cup Final appearances, and ultimately won the cup in 200910 with Chicago. With Chicago, he added two more Stanley Cup victories in the 201213 and 201415 campaigns.
After declaring he had a worsening skin condition in 2017, Hossa's playing career came to an early stop. In 2018, the Arizona Coyotes acquired his contract, and he announced his retirement in 2022. Over the course of his 19-year NHL career, Hossa amassed 525 goals and 609 assists for 1,134 points in 1,309 regular-season games. He was the 80th player to reach 1,000 points in NHL history and the 44th player to reach 500 goals. 2020 saw his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
