John Scott Details The Woes of Being a 4th Liner in the NHL

While John Scott is better known as an enforcer than anything else, he did win a trip to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game. No doubt, Gary Bettman hated that.

As an enforcer, Scott often resided on the 4th line, unless you were Tom Wilson, which he wasn't, because they weren't known for their hockey skills.

The funny thing about being a 4th liner in the NHL

He detailed being a 4th liner on the Chicago Blackhawks in an interesting conversation on his "Dropping The Gloves Podcast".

A very important detail that he noticed was where he would be placed in the locker room stalls.

Being near a goalie indicates that the player who is closest to the goalie ends up scratched. It happened in Buffalo until the team traded away a lot of talent, which resulted in more playing time for him.

Although he had a prime locker spot in the middle of the room, instead of his usual spot in the back, he seemed grateful for his time with the Blackhawks.

Over the course of two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Scott played 69 games, accumulating 120 PIMS and 2 points.

DID YOU THINK ENFORCERS GOT SPECIAL TREATMENT IN THE NHL?
