It was a very wild ride for Marc Andre Fleury this season after a disappointing trade from the Las Vegas Golden knights to the Chicago Blackhawks Fleury tried to make the best of the situation.
Knowing the Blackhawks weren't a playoff team the Blackhawks would try to accommodate Fleury's wishes to go to a playoff team in a trade. However, Fleury choose where he wanted to go and didn't want to including turning down two trade offers from the Edmonton Oilers and Washington Capitals.
Fleury would end up in Minnesota at the trade deadline and was a instant fan favorite among his teammates and fans of Minnesota. Unfortunately the Wilds Playoffs ended in the first round at the hand of the St Louis Blues. At 37 and being a pending UFA many wondered where Fleury would end up next season.
However, Hockey Insider Darren Dreger revealed the Minnesota Wild and General Manager Bill Guerin are hoping to re-sign Fleury in Minnesota. Dreger would share contract talks haven't begun yet but are expecting to soon.
