Several players in the Blackhawks organization are taking note and explaining how they feel about Bedard and what he is doing to change the game for the Blackhawks. Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno explained his thoughts on what he calls Bedard, a game-breaker.
The biggest takeaway from Bedard's game as the Blackhawks faced the Panthers was his ability to create plays during moments that seemed impossible for other players while transforming regular scoring chances into high-danger ones.
He currently holds a 5.38 individual expected goal stat, which is first on the team, whereas Tyler Johnson is second, holding at 3.75.
It's clear that Bedard is going to run away with this team, and as general manager Kyle Davidson continues to reshape the core and build around this amazing player, it should propel the Blackhawks forward and move them out of the basement and into a playoff spot shortly.
While Bedard is experiencing a true taste of NHL hockey, he's also getting a taste of defeat, as the Blackhawks are not expected to win many games this year and will be challenging for a lottery pick when the season ends.
WILL NICK FOLIGNO BE WITH THE BLACKHAWKS FOR THE FULL SEASON?
