Blackhawks kick coaches out of the dressing room for a players-only meeting.

The concept of a players-only meeting in professional sports is not uncommon. There comes a point when a team witnesses mounting losses, frayed nerves, growing frustration in the locker room, and diminishing confidence.

Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks players held one such meeting. The dressing room doors were sealed, allowing the players to discuss their issues and vent their frustrations. This meeting took place after a 4-2 home loss against the New Jersey Devils.

This kind of meeting among the players was not unexpected, as the Blackhawks boast a roster filled with young players and rookies. The veteran leadership believed it was necessary to address the problems and outline what needed to be done.

It was revealed after the meeting that Seth Jones and Corey Perry, both veterans of the team, stressed consistency, accountability, and adherence to the team system.

As the season has just crossed the 10-game mark, there is ample time to address the issues facing the Blackhawks. It's essential to keep in mind that the team is striving to position itself for another lottery pick as its rebuilding phase continues to gain momentum and speed up.
