Blackhawks Former Rivals Seem to be Losing Their Top Star and Captain
BY S. HARPER
However, in a salary cap era General Managers have to budget, meaning they can't just pay players what ever they want. This includes Red Wings Captain Dylan Larkin.
Larkin has been with the Wings since being drafted 15th overall in the 2014 NHL draft. Larkin is currently making $6,100,000 and being a pending UFA, Larkin is looking for a bigger raise.
According Former NHL'er turned Red Wings analyst Darren McCarty..
Steve Yzerman will not budge, in regards to negotiating with Dylan Larkin's contract. Yzerman would let Larkin Walk.
It will be interesting to see what transpires in the next few weeks if Larkin and Yzerman can work out a deal or could Larkin end up being a rental for a cup team? I guess will find out..
