Patrice Bergeron has signed a one-year $2.5 million dollar contract with the Boston Bruins which contains $2.5 in bonuses!!The veterans future has been up in the air, and a contract has yet to be discussed in quite some time- but clearly the community has been out of the loop as it's now official.
Bergeron's health was in question, and to protect it at all costs that may have had to include not playing and retiring for professional hockey as a whole. Thankfully, Bergeron is back to his old self and will be returning for one last season!
The contract is amazing for the Bruins, as it is a low value of $2.5m per season, but also amazing for Bergeron as there is $2.5 million in bonuses if he does well in certain areas!
