After battling a skin condition that forced him to step away from the game, Marian Hossa's hockey journey took a different course.
Placed on long-term injured reserve in 2017, he retired from professional hockey in 2018.
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020, Hossa returned to the Chicago Blackhawks for a one-day contract before having his number retired in 2022.
Now, in a special 'Goodbye Game' in Slovakia, Hossa will join a star-studded lineup including Lidstrom, Chara, and Toews.
Set for August 18th, the game will benefit Hossa's non-profit organization, HOSS Heroes. Hossa's illustrious NHL career spanned 19 seasons, earning him three Stanley Cups.
