According to reports from Brent Wallace of TSN and Yahoo Sports, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is considering joining the ownership group that intends to purchase the Ottawa Senators. The Neko Sparks Group, which has offered over $950 million to buy the Senators, has piqued the interest of the wrestler-turned-actor.

During an appearance on the radio show "Coming in Hot," Wallace revealed that Johnson's involvement could add some star power to the Senators, who have struggled in recent seasons. Although it is not yet clear what role Johnson would play in the ownership group, his involvement could help the team regain some of its former glory.

The Senators have been seeking a buyer for their team for quite some time, and the Neko Sparks Group is one of several interested parties. It remains to be seen if the group will succeed in their acquisition bid.

If Johnson's involvement is confirmed, he would join the ranks of other famous sports team owners like Jay-Z, Will Smith, and Jennifer Lopez. The former WWE superstar's interest in owning a professional sports team is evident, although his role in the Senators' ownership group is yet to be determined.
